What is the URL for Game Officials? http://wnyreferees.gameofficials.net
How do I know my username and password? In most cases, the username and password are the same as those you used at the US Soccer site. If you don't remember your log in information, click on the "Forgot Username or Password?" link on the Game Officials page, and follow the instructions to have your information sent to you. The e-mail that will be recognized is the one that you used to register with USSF in your most recent registration year. If your username is not found, click here to request a password reset. Include only the name of the individual in the body of the e-mail. (If the link does not work, send e-mail to gameoffpassword@rochester.rr.com with a subject line of Request Password Reset.) This is the only address to be used when requesting a password reset, and may only be used if the "Forgot Username or Password" have been attempted first.
Yes, you can change your password and/or your username any time that you wish. You'll see options for both on your home page. Usernames and passwords are NOT case sensitive.
My personal information is incorrect. How do I get that fixed? You can update and change most of the information yourself. Go to "My Info" under the main menu and make the necessary changes. Remember to "Save" after you finish. If there is an error in something you are not able to change (Grade, USSF ID), send an e-mail to sra@wnyreferee.org or sdi@wnyreferee.org explaining the problem.

Where do I get the override code? If a course asks for an override code, it's likely that you are trying to register for the wrong course. Override codes are included in certain courses to avoid people accidentally signing up for the wrong course. For example, the "Recertification Test" and "Upgrade Test" links are for special circumstances only, and your DRA or other SRC member will direct you there and provide you with the necessary code if it applies to you. For 2012, in districts other than Ithaca, referees should be signing up for "Recertification Clinic and Written Testing" which does not require an override code. That course includes the written test - and you take it by clicking on "Load Session Tracker." Click here for step-by-step instructions.
I'm upgrading this year. What should I do? Follow instructions as directed by the SRA.
I already registered and paid my fees at ussoccer.info. What should I do? If you have already registered and paid, DO NOT sign up for a "Recert Clinic and Written Testing" on Game Officials. All you need to do is send an e-mail to your DRA, informing him/her which clinic you are going to attend. If you have not taken your written test, you can also request the override code from the DRA that will allow you to take the test without registering for a clinic.
Send an e-mail to sdi@wnyreferee.org and we will make arrangements for a refund.
Game Officials only allows you to register for courses that are appropriate for your grade and status. For example, if you are a State Referee, Game Officials will not list the Basic Recert courses for you. State Referees must attend an advanced recert. On the other side of that, you may be able to register for a course that is "above" your Grade. Grade 7 and 8 referees have the option of signing up for an advanced recert, and that will "count" as your recertification training. You generally receive credit for attending a higher level than required, but not for attending a lower level.
Log in to Game Officials and click on "Confirmed Reg" in the menu on the left. Find the course that you need to change and click on "Cancel Registration." If you paid by credit card, the amount you paid will be credited within Game Officials. When you register for a different course, the fee that you have already paid will be applied to the new course. If you ultimately decide not to attend a course, contact your DRA to arrange for a refund of fees.
I don't have a credit card. How can I register? Payment by credit card is preferred, but if that is impossible, there is an option for payment by check/cash. If you select that option, you'll be allowed to complete your registration. You will then need to bring a check (in the amount specified on your registration confirmation) to the course. Checks should be made payable to WNYSRA.
I didn't register for a course online. Can I still attend? Maybe. In the case of recertification clinics, walk-ins can often be accommodated and efforts will be made to do so. However, there are often space limitations and some locations have a strict "maximum occupancy" due to fire codes. If you simply "show up" at a recert clinic, you run the risk of being turned away. In cases of specialized training (intermediate/advanced clinics, etc.), pre-registration is generally required and walk-ins will not be accepted without prior approval from the instructor.
I tried to register for a class an hour before the class and it wouldn't let me. What do I do? Classes are automatically closed two hours before the start of the class. This does not necessarily mean that it is full, and you may or may not be able to walk-in to the course. (See above question.)
In these cases, the instructor or DRA will give you a "walkup code." As soon as possible after the class, log in to Game Officials and register for the class. You will need to enter the walkup code to be able to register for a class that has been completed. Your registration fees can now be paid by credit card. You will get the written test, and need to complete it immediately. Courses are "closed" within a couple of days of completion, and you need to have all of your requirements met at that point. If it will be impossible for you to complete your requirements within a day or two of the class, notify the instructor of your situation.
I'm a Life Member. What should I do? Life Members should NOT sign up for a "Recertification Clinic and Written Testing" on Game Officials. We don't currently have a means of waiving registration fees, but hope to have that corrected for future years. For 2012, do your referee, assignor, assessor and instructor registration(s) on the USSF website. When attending a recert clinic, simply advise the DRA which clinic you will be attending. The DRA may also provide you the override code for the recertification test, which will allow you to take the test online. |
